We met this man in the medina in Chefchaouen walking his dog Jolie and cat whose name I forget. He was delightful and said he has four cats and a dog in his third floor apartment. He had gone shopping and was planning to make Jolie an omelet. She seemed to know that because she was quite interested in the egg in his hand.

I may not be able to catch up on Pbase until (Tuesday) evening (I hope, assuming I have Internet) as we’re driving to Fes via some Roman ruins and don’t expect to get in until late. I sure hope it’s warmer in Fes as it has been quite cold in Chefchaouen, to the extent that I bought a very heavy sweater in the medina this evening. The merchant, who we had had an interesting conversation with earlier in the day, said it was made by a Berber woman.
