We’re back in Riyadh, after a very pleasant weekend in Qatar. Although there was a thunderstorm going on when we arrived at the airport in Doha, it had pretty much cleared by the time we took off so it wasn’t even too bad a flight, just a full plane with immigrant workers returning from to Saudi Arabia from Southeast Asia. I guess Doha must be a transit point.

This was our hotel, The W Doha, located in the West End and close to all those spectacular skyscrapers in the previous captures. We never saw it from this perspective at night on our previous trip to Doha, but once we realized it had all this blue lighting on it, it was easy to find from wherever we were.
