There definitely seems to be a fascination with snow in this desert country as it features in many window displays in the larger malls. I guess in a place where temperatures can reach 122 F (50 C) in summer, the idea of snow is a welcome relief, although the weather for the past month or two has been delightful, 70s in the daytime and 60s at night.

The "Families only" sign means men cannot enter unless accompanied by a woman (which would have to be their wife, sister, mother).
