These kids had just set up for what I imagine was an expected deluge of picnickers to Al Elb Dam in the evening. They were selling corn on the cob as well as beverages.

Take away some of the distinctly SA features, like the writing on the no-smoking sign, and this little entrepreneurial set-up could be anywhere! Fantastic slice of street life. V

enterprising young fellows who will learn some life lessons dealing with customers...an outdoor smoking ban does raise questions...it has been banned here in parks and at beaches, not so much because of the smoke itself , and more due to the thousands of butts that litter public spaces..
