Al Yamamah Garden

Al Yamamah Garden must be one of, if not the, largest parks in the Diplomatic Quarter. I was floored at its sheer size – and at the number of fountains it has – we counted 14. In addition to the arcaded sections, there is a huge lawn with trees and then an enormous area with kids’ play equipment. Tim says this park is never empty, and indeed we saw several couples walking around here and a number of families having a picnic in the grassy area.

No trip to these gardens would be complete without a picture or two of the wonderful shadow play afforded by the latticed buildings. I must admit, it’s one of my favorite things about strolling around these parks.

The play of light just makes this. It is like you have put a checkerboard layer on top and it really enhances the image.
