Unrequited love

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

This was the Saudi man we met at the vet’s office who fell in love with Sahraa and who had four dogs of his own. He had just been showing us pictures of them all on his cell phone (still in hand). She, of course, didn’t want to be photographed.

I’m happy to report that Sahraa seems to be feeling better, and Tim said she even wanted to play a bit last night. She’s still on a diet of chicken breast and potatoes, which she is gobbling down, along with some antibiotics.

In brief: Professional opinions from the States indicate that the bullets probably aren’t the cause of her pain and shouldn’t need to be removed (which would be difficult anyway). It might be best to look for other causes such as her gastro distress, an injured joint or arthritis.

So thanks to people I’ve become friends with on Pbase, Sahraa appears to be in good hands, albeit virtually!

Dear Sahraa - certainly doesn't like the camera aiming at her. What a lovely heartwarming shot, though. And even better news about her condition. What a relief. V

This is good news for you and Sahraa for now at least, Helen. Lovely cute shot of her and the vet! BV

That are very good news and it is a good sign that she is playful and has her appetite back.

Great news! So nice to know that there are people all over the world that love dogs. Of course Sahraa is a stellar ambassador for all canines. V
