I had posted a similar portrait of this charming horse before, but I loved the windswept look in this one and so am posting it as well to end this sub-gallery.

These Icelandic horses were friendly, gentle and inquisitive as well as beautiful, and my encounters with them were one of the highlights of our visit to Iceland. My only regret is that we didn’t stop more often to visit with the many horses we saw all around the country.
