About halfway through the long drive back to Reykjavík from Höfn the weather miraculously cleared up – sunshine and blue sky! -- although the wind never did let up. Once again I was fascinated by the amazing volcanic scenery passing me by, so this will be a series of images from that ride.

I thought this was a pretty unusual place for a stand of trees – in the middle of a lava field!
