Getting his moussa done

We found one open shop at the Shangri-La resort complex, in their “heritage village.” The owner was Kashmiri and quite an interesting guy who had lived in Oman for years. Here he is putting a traditional moussa on Tim. I ended up buying one of them for use as decoration but hadn’t realized just how big a 54 inch by 54 inch piece of cloth actually was! (That’s the standard size for these things.) We also bought some frankincense from him. I didn’t even know it still existed, but Oman has been producing it for millennia now (some is visible on top middle shelf in plastic containers).

A view of the harbor at Shangri-La:

Tim seems to be amused by it all. The material looks very nice. V

Must say that it suits Tim... I had no idea so much cloth was used, so am guessing it is quite thin? A delightful image. V

Seems not so simple if you have to do this on your own.
