Opposites attract

These two vessels were docked just off the Corniche (previous two pictures). I never found out what the smaller one was, but the large ship is government owned (or a royal yacht).

I saw this scene when rounding a bend in the car heading towards the Mutrah Souk. I was so taken by it we had to walk a very long way to get back to it.

the wooden boat reminds of a Persian slipper...all the more intriguing too with the canopy and angled mast..
