Al Khor Mosque

This contemporary mosque was located close to the sultan’s palace. It had hours posted for non-Muslim visitors, but we could never get there in time, which is a pity because it is reportedly quite beautiful inside and represents a combination of Arab, Persian and Indian architectural styles. Above it is the Al Mirani Fort.

That blue is spectacular (my favourite colour). A very unusual and very beautiful mosque. Interesting to see it against the fortress like walls of the palace. V
