Popular spot

It appears that this is a well-traveled sand dune (or hill formation) with all the vehicle tracks going up it. Saudis often go out to the desert to camp or just for picnics, I understand. When we first landed in Riyadh, as we drove from the airport to our new home around midnight, we saw countless groups of people on sand dunes along the highway, usually around some kind of campfire.

A common thread - we all need a place to picnic and camp :)

Worn smooth by the wind. Interesting how the rock is balanced near the top.
