Umm Ruqaiba Desert

The Umm Ruqaiba Desert, where the camel beauty pageant was held, is apparently known for its beautiful red sand dunes. It's fascinating how the color of the sand changes by location.

I have just uploaded the last eight images of this gallery, so this will be the end of camels for a while. Thanks so much for the great support and wonderful comments for this gallery! It was truly a unique experience that I doubt I could have had anyplace else in the world, and I hope to go back next year, maybe for more of the beauty than the pageant!
