The bird rock

I couldn't get much closer than this since right after this was taken I got caught in a wave as the tide was coming in quickly. These birds were amazing to watch -- "surfing" and riding the pretty rough waves out in the water and diving for fish. Unfortunately they were too far away to capture, even with this little zoom.

In any case, it is a really neat image Helen. I like it!

A compelling shot of the rugged coast and rushing waves. The birds are a big plus! V

Not a bad capture at all, Helen. The weather looks about them same as what I had during my visit to the Oregon coast.

A nice flowing rock and surf scene. Beginning to look a little rough on the coast also. V

these Shags and/or Cormorants are fun to watch, though don't think I have ever seen them surfing. This looks as if it might meet restricted zoom needs

Love the way the waves break against those rocks.V.

There's so much going on in this image - the patterns of the foreground water, the breaking wave and the bird spreading his wings. Are those cormorants? V
