My husband was at a conference all day long on Saturday, so I was left to my own devices during the day. I spent half of it working (!) because the weather was just so ugly and no incentive to venture out, but I was chastised by a fellow Pbaser for wasting my time in Vienna, of all places. Suddenly the sky cleared up (for about 30 minutes), so I wandered around the neighborhood, after taking yet more pictures of the Russian cathedral. Oddly enough, I only took two shots during my several hours out. That has to be a new record for me.

I used to be fascinated by these prickly pears in Okinawa, and this is the first time I've seen them growing anywhere since we left there.
