This was a millennial tapestry woven by 33 artists in honor of the 1,000th anniversary of the coronation of Szent István, in the style of northern France and Flanders in the 15th-17th centuries. Hungary's past is invoked through citations from visual and verbal sources. The composition includes motifs from the Holy Crown of Hungary, the 11th century coronation robe, the miniatures of the 14th century Illuminated Chronicle and medieval frescoes.
