To the right of the bridge is the remains of the old Erie Canal aquaduct which carried the canal arcoss the Mohawk River.

I was a Paperboy that delivered to both sides of the Bridge (old & new one). In the winter I couldn't ride my bike so everyday when i crossed it one side of my body would freeze from the wind and then on the way back the other side would. I'd walk miles and miles to deliver to about 20 customer's! LOL.
