Ottawa West
This male osprey with his feathers mussed up in the strong cold wind
was keeping watch over his mate on the nest. Pushing beyond my camera's
abilities with this shot as he was far away.


Female deep in the nest to keep out of the wicked cold wind.
Can you see her ? Only top of head is visible.
Not much added to the nest from last year - same blue plastic rope.


Male escorting me back to my car. I'll come back on a warmer, sunnier day.
