Bertil, Hi! Thanks for the nice comment. There are more pictures to be added to WALK ABOUT 2006 in the PADJELANTA library. They will be added during the coming week.

Hi Göte! Regarding the EF100-400L IS zoom.
Well, the lens weighs 1,36 kg. Canon have a 400/5,6 L-lens which weighs 1,25 kg, but that lens does not have IS, which is a MUST if you are photographing birds! So, if you want a Canon 400 mm L-lens with IS, the EF100-400L IS is the lightest. I have not had any problems with the 350D being light compared with the lens. The weight of the lens actually adds stability when following birds in their flight. The only drawback is that the extenders EF1,4 and EF2 forces you to focus manually due to the decrease in light reaching the censor. But that is a weakness in the camera and not in the lens which might be eliminated in future Canon cameras... If you want a lighter lens your only option now, is to be satisfied with a 300 mm lens which can be less than half the weight of the 100-400 lens. The lens is sharper than the wild bird-pictures might tell you. If you look at the BIRDS-AT-ZOO pictures when the birds were not moving and a tripod could be used, you will see that these are sharper.

Nice shots with the EF 100-400! How does this rather big and heavy lense work with the rather small and light 350D? Any inconveniences when handheld?
In Swedish: Snygga bilder med EF 100-400! Hur fungerar det ganska stora och tunga objektiv tillsammans med den ganska lilla och lätta 350D. Bökigt på fri hand?
