Four images of The American Crow. In my experience, crows are difficult to photograph. Firstly, they are all black and it is hard to get the feather detail. Secondly, they are very clever and seem to sense that it's time to take-off just as one is about to press the shutter. For example; in the first two images two crows watched me park my vehicle on the side of the road; watched me back up for a better view, then roll down my window, then get my gear ready; but the moment I aimed the camera through the window they took off allowing me just one or two shots.
