20140204 - 1 176 Snowy Owl.jpg

Ottawa West

We found this Snowy perched and sleeping on a snow-covered knoll, not too far from a busy road. Some have suggested that the Owl appeared to be having lunch; however, in this image it was just preening itself. It eventually flew off to perch on a fence post right next to the road. From there it flew to perch on a distant hydro pole.
