Six images of Big Sister, the first Owlet to leave the nest.

In yesterday's posting I suggested that perhaps this Owlet might have a minor injury to one of its wings as it had remained quite low whilst its sibling, Little Brother, on leaving the nest very quickly flew to Mom perched up high. Fellow photographer and Pbaser "hayl" first suggested a possible minor injury in her posting http://www.pbase.com/hayl/image/150216491 of May 14.

The present images, taken May 15, are of Big Sister getting stuck in the "V" of a tree and struggling to get herself free. This may be a reflection that she is having some difficulty flying; however, I did see her on a slightly higher branch a few days later so she seems to be able to fly OK.
