Three images, three views, of an American Pygmy Kingfisher male. This small Kingfisher is an other "Lifer" for me. The images were taken from a small boat as it was going through some mangroves. Conditions for taking good shots were poor at best as we were constantly going from bright to dark conditions in the small moving/rocking boat.

Top image: Kingfisher just after it had swallowed the small fish shown in the 2nd image.


Kingfisher with small fish. It practically shook the little fish to death before swallowing it.
