Two images of a Swainson's Thrush, an other first (lifer) for me. Yesterday I posted two images of a Hermit Thrush. The Hermit and Swainson's were found in the same general area over a period of three days. They are quite similar, the main difference being that the Hermit is more rusty/reddish on the back and tail. Also, the Hermit has a distinct white eye ring, whereas the Swainson's has a prominent buff eye ring. For comparison, see yesterdays posting at: http://www.pbase.com/update_image/129063870 . Reportedly there have also been sightings of Gray-cheeked Thrushes in the area. I'm still looking for those.
