Old Quarry Trail

This was one of the young Deer I had been stalking when the Porcupine I posted some days ago came waddling along the Deer trail. ( see http://www.pbase.com/hankvv/image/128726292 ). It was quite difficult to get a good shot of the elusive Deer on account of the thick forest.

I like this composition. It makes for a more intriguing shot to have the deer partly hidden. Much more effective, IMHO, than to see it entirely in the clear. This is a delight.
