.35 Calibre, 240 Grain Paper Patch Mold

This mold was obtained from Rock Island Auctions when the John Dutcher collection was being auctioned off. We don't know who the manufacturer is, but I can tell you that it casts two perfect 240 grain bullets that when patched properly and shot in my .35-40 - will consistently shoot five shots under one inch diameter at 100 yards from rest. I haven't tried them at 200 yards yet, but expect to do so this spring. The only markings on the mold are 35, 240 and either 00, 8, or B between the two previous markings. There is a photo of an outfit from the Coors Schuetzen Collection, of an 1882 No. 16 Maynard that belonged to George H. Wentworth, that shows a mold of this type lying next to the cased outfit. If anyone can identify the manufacturer of these molds, please let us know. For now we will just enjoy using it.
