flowers at our table

These were the flowers on our table at the restaurant.

Had a number of questions about processing this image. Here are my steps.

PROCESSING STEPS

Original image

1. Two adjustment layers (multiply just to darken upper right corner)
2. Copy of all layers
3. Used tutorial link below, but did not keep all of the blend modes at Soft Light as suggested. I played around and selected other blend modes. Used a texture I had created rather than Bumpy Leather (recommended in the tutorial). I also did not add the Vignette per their instruction. I stopped before that step.

http://www.davrodigital.co.uk/tutorials/haye-island-cafe/hayes-island-cafe.htm

4. Copied all visible layers to a new layer. Applied Vignette (very slight) from nik Color Efex Pro.
5. Applied Old Photo Color from nik color Efex pro (selected the tone I liked best).

The print did not work as well as the online posting. I think my texture has a couple of artifacts and I need to clone them out before I have a printable version.

If you have questions, feel free to contact me.

The result is superb, but nevertheless I prefer the original with all the fine shadows in the background. Great job on both. -- Werner

The effect looks great!! I love it and it became far more interesting than the original...
Thanks for the lesson also... I should take note of this one instead of complaining that I don't know anything about image processing ;)
