My first visit to see the swans in Monticello. This lady feeds the swans corn and she's the only one who actually goes down to the bank of the river. The swans feel comfortable with her there but it's important that nobody else try to get that close. I left $20 in her donation box because that's a lot of corn she's feeding the swans - that must cost a fortune!
UPDATE 4/4/2011: I just heard that the Swan Lady has passed away. She fed the swans for 25 years. :(
