Highlights from two visits to Panama:

A week in January 2004 at the Canopy Tower in Soberania National Park, Panama province, on the Pacific side of central Panama. In addition to the grounds of the lodge, we birded at several nearby sites, including near the Caribbean coast in Colon province.

And twenty years later, we spent a week in January 2024 at Tranquilo Bay Eco Adventure Lodge on Isla Bastimentos on the Caribbean side of western Panama. We birded mostly in Bocas del Toro province, both on the islands and the mainland, with a little birding in Chiriqui and Ngäbe-Buglé provinces on the mainland.

On both trips, we also did a little birding in Metropolitan Nature Park in Panama City. This gallery is still under construction, with many species still to be added, mostly from the 2024 trip.
