Sedona's Red Rock Country

This collection of images shows the beauty of the red rock scenery surrounding the town of Sedona, AZ and the Oak Creek canyon. I visited here the last week of October, 2004 in order to see the area in all its fall color glory. As an added bonus (photographically that is), I also encountered a snowstorm which hit the canyon and Flagstaff to the north. Special thanks to Derek Von Briesen (fellow PBaser and resident of Sedona) for his help in pointing me towards areas of interest.

UPDATE (12-4-06): I added a few new images of the Sedona area from a brief stopover there while on my way to Havasu Canyon.

These are some of the best photos I have ever seen on this web site. My brother in law was married in Oak Creek and I was there only a short time. I hope to go back some day and enjoy what you have had the pleasure to see and photograph. A job well done

Awful. The colours look completely unatural, there's no way a sky could look so deep blue or those threes so red. It's more like Sci-Fi or cartoons. You either modified them with software or that Nikon is really garbage.

Sedona is a beautiful place to visit - we were just there for a week in early October. Red Rock country certainly provides many great photo - ops & you really did a great job of taking advantage of the landscape scenics!
