Day 005 - Hanger
This was most recently the Pan Am Hanger on base. I believe this was a KC-135 hanger in the Air Force days, I seem to remember seeing some tails hanging out of it "back in the day" (though I can be mistaken as I only went on Pease when I was up here on leave).
I had a grand total of about 8 minutes for shooting today. I got caught up in something on my first day back this year & completely blew past lunch. On my way out to pick up something to eat, I grabbed my gear and cruised around the flight line (not on the flight line, but around it). I'd not been able to get close to this hanger last year as it was still occupied. At least there were cars in the parking lot. Not so today, though the parking lot was somewhat cleared of snow (enough for me to get the Honda Civic to the fence).
I will be returning to this hanger in the near future, while reviewing the shots earlier, I found some interesting architectural features that I'd not noticed while shooting. They need a better angle to get into the PaD though.

Day 004 - Dapper Fox
Our dog looking very dapper in his Xmas garb.
My wife & two youngest took Fox [Mulder] for a walk, I left shortly after them, thinking I was going the opposite direction and would run into them & get a few shots in. I realized I'd gone the wrong way when I heard the neighborhood dogs barking from the opposite corner. If you know what to listen for, you can tell not only where they are, but their direction as well. I got back in time to catch them in our driveway, the kids wanted nothing to do with photos, Fox didn't either, but I kicked a little snow and he got interested.

Day 003 - Snow Angel
My 11-year-old from this afternoon at "Powderhouse Hill", our town sledding and skiing hill (we don't ski though).

Day 002 - Haircut
My son sitting still, in the chair, this afternoon. My wife tasked me with taking him out to get his hair cut. I had all my gear with me & decided to take a few shots.

Day 001 - Food Court Shapes
Our annual holiday "Shopping Spree". We didn't go overboard this year, the package count was quite low. I brought the LX3 with me and took a few shots while in the Food Court (Eating a healthy, home-cooked Taco Bell combo meal ;)

Day 190 - Looking up
Just a simple shot of the maple tree that is overhanging our deck. This is technically a tri-tone, I set the highlight & shadow tone hues to the same settings to get this effect. This is exactly what I was thinking when I shot it, it took a little persuasion during Post Processing to get it right.

Day 284 - Decisions Decisions
This is a 1979 BMW R65 that I looked at today. I'm in the market for a second bike, most likely a project bike. I would label this as a "Project Bike". I'm the 'No' side of the fence right now. It would be a lot of work just to get this bike home, it doesn't run right now which means trailering it and hefting it around. The R65 is also kind of a "Black Sheep" in Beemer land, I'd run the risk of having to put more into it than it would be worth. Would be fun though.

Day 321 - Frost
Right to the point today. As I was getting the bike ready to go home this evening, I realized that frost had formed on the seat. Technically when shit kept sliding off, I was a bit perplexed, then realized what the problem was. Please note that up here in the Great White North, we do not identify Frost due to the Nomenclature etched into frosty surfaces. The word frost was something I added (freezing my finger in the process) for effect.

Day 355 - The Move
Playing chess with Kala this evening. She is very logical and will be a good player in time. Yesterday, I stumbled upon firmware updates for the LX3. Apparently the latest is 2.1, I was on 1.0. There were a lot of changes, one of which is an aspect ratio of 1:1. This is literally SOOC.
