Previous to this, I had photographed Al Segrini standing next to the "Black Magic" Vega funny car he was driving in the 1970's. Zoom ahead to 1998 in Pomona CA at the NHRA "Winston Finals". At this race, I spoke with him about the early years at New England Dragway in Epping NH. Now, even that was thirteen years ago. Time seems to fly faster than race cars.
