Second Chance Cats

The cats in this gallery either were, or still are, residents at Austin Pets Alive (Austin's only no-kill animal shelter). I consider myself blessed that they accepted and allowed me to photograph them...their beauty and personalities have had a wonderful impact on my life!

Thanks for sharing these precious moments. I had a stray cat showing up and giving birth to 3 kittens. Out of desperation I took 2 cats (I had 5 in my house) to the shelter but brought them back home 2 days later. I couldn't bear the thought of having them there in a tiny cage. Meanwhile I found homes for some and am down to 3 cats. I posted many photos on my pbase gallery.

They are each and every one so beautiful. I dearly hope they find good homes ... I wish I could take them all!
