Benicia Army Cememtery is the oldest U.S. military cemetery in the Pacific States.
Founded in 1849, it was used by the Benicia Arsenal and Barracks for over a century.
Buried here are 123 U.S. military personnel, 61 civilians, 18 persons of unknown affiliation, 9 World War 11 prisoners of war, and 3 pets. 8 of the WW11 prisoners are German and 1 is Italian.
