American Crow Corvus brachyrhynchos Common resident in Coastal and Lowlands regions, less abundant in the southern portion of the county. Locally Uncommon resident in residential and open agricultural areas of Mountains regions. Rare winter visitor to Desert region.
Habitat: Oak woodlands, agricultural lands, residential and urban areas.
Best locations: Widespread.
Note: Prior to 1985 only reached south to Carlsbad in the NW corner of the county (Unitt, 2004).
