Bufo bufo. See http://www.herpetofauna.co.uk/common_toad.htm This pair became trapped on the road while on migration to Dunsapie Loch in Holyrood Park. They were rescued by the Historic Scotland Ranger Service as part of their "Toadwatch" work.
