It has been busy of late so not much photography. But still getting out looking for owls.

From several hundred yards away I could hear a loud chorus of crows with their raucous mobbing calls. Dozens of them were heading in the general direction. There is no mistaking it, some unwelcome bird of prey was getting an earful.

I looked up but could not see anything except for crows flying around, some perched but all cawing loudly. Saw the group of trees the crows were surrounding and what direction their beaks were pointing. Still took a bit of scanning with the binoculars to find it but nestled high up a tree was the poor victim of all this, a barred owl.
