A few minutes before the sun rose, a group of anxious but excited bird watchers (with an assortment of binoculars, spotting scopes and cameras) gathered at a west end park hoping to glimpse a rare visitor to the Ottawa area. Not known to keep to a regular travel itinerary, the Little Egret flew in to the delight of everyone. Then just as soon, it was gone. Again.
