This juvenile Brown Thrasher was perched right behind me out in the open at about waist level. At first I thought it was some dried out plant material like a cattail. It was laying flat, horizontal and not moving. Upon closer inspection, noticed it was a juvenile Brown Thrasher. It must have fledged very recently. Well, it proceeded to fly up into a tree and that's where I took the above photo.
