Barred Owl

Presqu'ile Provincial Park, Ontario. Canada.

One of the 14 Barred Owls counted recently at Presqu'ile Provincial Park. In this shot some branches have been cloned out. The image is about 85% of full-frame.

Last time I was at Presqu'ile was December 5th, close to 3 weeks ago before the big snowfall. Hope to go back soon.

I am not surprised at all by the large count. I found 6 one day without much effort and knew many more were likely along the trails. It is the best place in eastern Ontario to see this species of owl barred none. Pun intended :-)

GREAT SHOT...I see that 14 of these birds turned up on the Christmas count at Presqu'ile !!
