Maunawili Falls Trail, Sep. 2010 For me Maunawili Falls Trail is one of the best hikes on Oahu. Moderate in its level of difficulty and yet challenging at times, it provides visitors with stunning vistas regardless the weather. It was cloudy and party it has rained as I walked it, and yet the breaks in clouds and fog were enough to make me stand still for a moment and to marvel the lush beauty of the Ko'olau Range. At some vistas over 10 waterfalls are visible at the same time in the distance. Visitor has to ford streams several times, wear water shoes! Mud at times, slippery. Bring mosquito repellent with you! Or, leave your blood on these Islands forever. |
