Wilcox was a manager of Grove Farm Plantation. Their mansion shows the style and luxury of living in the era of "Sugar Barons". The mansion in encircled by beautiful gardens, hosts the well known "Gaylords Restaurant" and a local artist workshop. Some of the restored living rooms were formals decorated with the original furniture and be visited. In the recent time the "museum" was simply "cancelled" and a bar was installed in this room. Do not take a term "museum" too seriously in America! Their own web page says: "Located in the Kilohana’s living room, Mahikō Lounge is Kauai’s chicest new bar."
