The Mount Carmel fire began on 2.12.2010, raged on for 4 days and consumed 4,000 hectares of some of the most beautiful forest in northern Israel. It was the deadliest fire in Israel's history in which 44 people lost their lives. The fire was finally extingiushed with international assistance from various countries that sent both firefighters and firefighting equipment (including dozens of aircraft) to help fight the flames. Most of these shots were taken four days after the fire was extinguished.
