great point of view Gilles.
I see this ordinary land EVERY day :((
Your abstraction (with colours&light) is wonderful.
ciao
Andrea

But not an ordinary image!
I really like the feeling this conveys ... stark, cold, some what desolate.
Very nicely done, Gilles!

the buildings seem a bit sad and depressed
Guest 15-Feb-2005 10:07
Bravo! The rest is already said

Great perspective, light and tone.
Guest 14-Feb-2005 21:57
Great perspective - I've never seen rail tracks compressed so much.
Guest 14-Feb-2005 17:28
somber blue poetry...

'tracks to nowhere'.... well shot. Risky?!
jude14-Feb-2005 13:29
I feel as though I'm waiting for that traint to come take me away.. only not in the "boarding passenger" way. Beautiful tones.. sad image - to me at least..

Awesome image, so many to say and so many to be left unspoken! Voted.

Traitement chirurgical...

Hello my extreme right wing Christian friend (LOL :D)
This is a wonderful composition that is just impossible to get here in the UK, where it is illegal to step on the rail tracks.
Guest 14-Feb-2005 12:03
I love these 'in perspective' shots. I hope you got off the tracks before the train came.
Guest 14-Feb-2005 11:19

Excellent work, Gilles.
Cheers

I agree with all the comments. great title, too.

It's all been said already. I'll add one thing. Notice how the house on the right is V-shaped. It forms a wedge in counterpoint to the wedge running the opposite direction which are the train tracks. This, the low angle and the framing by the poles is what makes the perspective so good. Il me plait beaucoup, Gilles, mais beaucoup!
Guest 14-Feb-2005 08:31
Ditto!
We mean it's exactly what we have told each other, back to the magic world of Gilles.
So many invisibly written feelings in this image.
The spirit of lost love can dance in the middle of the rails.

Give me the shivers!
Guest 14-Feb-2005 07:59
Very cool; literally! The blue cast adds to the shivers of what might be steaming
down the tracks behind the viewer... :)
Guest 14-Feb-2005 07:38
rather cold, scary and dark image... i love it! ;)
Guest 14-Feb-2005 07:33
Very good view point, plus good composition
Guest 14-Feb-2005 07:13
Adalberto Tiburzi14-Feb-2005 07:08
Extra-ordinary point of view. And the colours, between cold and fear...
