indomitable

Canyonlands N.P., Utah

seemingly indomitable, Utah Junipers can live for up to 700 years...extreme conditions constantly test their resilience, and despite an extensive root system for support, eventually they succumb

once deceased, the tree is a big loss to local wildlife, yet seems like a natural sculpture as it slowly decays

700 years of life, and now afterlife perhaps a boon for smaller critters.

That is one that looks very appealing like this and would make a lot of B&W fine art shots too. ~BV~
