badlands

Theodore Roosevelt NP, North Dakota

the badlands here are actually not so bad...at least there is lots of greenery...still, clear signs of last years drought abound, including charred trees from an apparent wildfire

I've always thought the badlands interesting - perhaps it was farmers who called them 'bad' since they'd have a hard time plowing those hills!
