Vedauwoo, Wyoming

oh for the warmth of autumn in Wyoming...persistent whining this past month about local weather has more foundation now, as the national weather service, Environment Canada, just confirmed that March 2017 in Vancouver has been the 'gloomiest' since 1951, with the least hours of sunshine, less than half of normal, and rain on 28 of the 31 days...perhaps should move to Arizona...better conditions, well situated, and there are a pair of good friends down there too

once again this is along the Turtle Loop Trail at Vedauwoo...the pathway is largely earthy and springy, yet here and there on more solid granite...the uplands (as here) venture over rock shelves and through pine forest, and the lower areas past ponds and through aspens

I love the warm color of the rocks and their interesting shapes. They contrast nicely against the evergreens and blue sky. V

I think I would call these rocks "The Three Sisters." The exude warmth. Love the composition and the beautiful day. We have been having some weather problems here as well but today is looking promising. V

Another excellent capture from Wyoming, where I've never been. I can understand the desire to move to a better climate; funny, I'd like to move to Canada ;-).

You'd soon get tired of all that sunshine
