crunchy

Hunt's Mesa, Monument Valley, Arizona

with the dull light (see previous) allowing only muted views, we explored Hunt's Mesa itself...this vantage point sits at over 6,000 ft., is dry yet cool, and so plant forms there are unusual...one of the more notable specimens was the rare Camera Tree, Essellarius Macrocarpa, ('macrocarpa' refers to the large black berries)..the fruit was t-shaped, black, and rather crunchy

Nikon Coolpix P5100

You were definitely braver than I was. I was too chicken to actually taste the fruit. I love your description. ~V~

I wonder if the garden store near me has one of these trees I could buy. Forget, it's probably to expensive for me. Fun use of the local surroundings. Glad none of those branches broke!

Thats a great capture, David. Happily, we picked it clean before we left (and no camera bag was left behind!).

David, this was very creative captured. I am looking for one of those lens bushes. I would like to harvest a couple lens when they are ripe. Great work. V.
