Mesa Verde NP, Colorado

perhaps the best known of the Ancient Puebloan sites at Mesa Verde, Cliff Palace (late 13th century) is also the largest cliff dwelling in North America...tours led by park rangers allow visits, although our group had to wait a bit while the previous group dawdled their way through...waiting was OK though, as it allowed time for a few photos

Very nice scene shot. I visited there in late October once, and there was no wait, but ice, snow and fogg. I remember that this was the coldest I ever was on that US trip. But what a great place to visit

An excellent view of this impressive place. Though the group of people does add scale, I wonder at the wisdom of letting tourists walk around this archeologically fragile site.
