before the storm

Pitigliano, Tuscany

looks peaceful enough at this moment...but it was a classic case of the calm before the storm...minutes later rain arrived in a torrential downpour...people were stranded inside the restaurant by the intensity of the rainfall...others were trapped by the bar, where it was easier to make the best of the situation with a warming brandy...or so I'm told

Good thing there are posts out in front in case the cars couldn't see where they were going in the down pour. I guess you were pretty unlucky with the weather, but you got a very fine shot here anyways. V
